How do I determine my truck's build date?

I would like to find out the build date on all of our 93 and older trucks (the ones that won't run through the VIN check on this site, as they are too old)

The main one i am concerned about is my 91, as there was a major break concerning clutches in 91, and guess what, my clutch is acting up, so i got to research!:D

I am wondering if there is a b uild date on that firewall tag. I do have the original window sticker, but nothing pops out date wise.

Does anyone have any ideas? if so, post up! Who knows, if we get the right info, this could be a sticky!

TIA,
Robert

Doesn't the door sticker show a month date? My '97 appears to have been assembled 08/96.

I found this on the sticker that shows GVWR and axle limits.

Mine was the solid flywheel which returned during 96 builds. I am not sure you will be able to definatively figure out which set up you have by date anyway. Most have to tear down to figure out.

Does it matter? Most go back with solid flywheel and different pilot brg - kevlar or bronze bushing with pretty good success. DMF is too expensive to rebuild.

yep, door sticker had it!

it was built 12 of 1990, so, unless i find different on teardown, i don't have the upgraded clutch.

Thanks for the input!
