Bought my first Diesel Feb 2008, so I have lots to learn,
hoping this will be a good place.
I felt comfortable with a 2008 GMC Extended cab shortbed
Duramax /Allison. I tow a Sunnybrook 26FK about 6500+
when loaded for travel. You don't even know it's back there
with this truck. I also have a Hensley hitch and that helps
also.
Bought the truck on 2/12/08 and headed to Florida on
2/28/08. Tough getting 500 miles on it before we left but
we did. Mileage towing was 10.5 to 11.5 P/G kept it between
60-65 MPH. We got 19.5 on a trip to Key West
not towing.
So far I'm very pleased with the truck especially since
Diesel was $4.41 vs $4.859 which was the highest it got
at the Hess station I use.
