Hi, just a quick post to introduce myself. My names Mike and I'm the proud owner of recently aquired '97 Chevy K3500 6.5 TDV8, that I use for my tree cutting business. I've joined this forum in the hope of tapping into the wealth of knowledge and experience that exists here. My truck was imported into the UK in "98 where it was built as an ambulance and used in that role for a few years, then it was sold into private ownership and converted into a tipper. I've only owned it since December '10 but I already love how useful it is! We don't have anything like it over here in the UK! Unfortunately it seems to be suffering with fuel injection problems and I'm trying to diagnose if its a PMD or IP problem. I've already learned a huge amount and I'm looking forward to getting to know this great truck.
Regards Mike

:welcome3:Welcome to The Truck Stop, Mike!

It's been said, but this is truly the best place around to get some help with your truck... take a picture of that beauty and post it in your signature for us!

In my signature is a diagnostic checklist that we use for troubleshooting... copy the checklist, paste it into a new post, and answer the questions as best you can to help us 'see' what you've already checked out. That will help us to ask better questions and give better suggestions. If you aren't sure how to do some of the tests, just ask and somebody will give you a hand.

Thanks for the welcome guys! I'll try to get some pics posted ASAP. Sorry if I sound like a total novice, but when I try to cut and paste the the diagnostic checklist my browser won't let me? Any assistance would be very VERY welcome!
Regards Mike

you can't cut and paste... need to copy and paste.

- open the checklist, highlight it all, choose edit-copy
- come back here, click in the quick reply box, choose edit-paste, and it should be here.

Then just put in your responses
