:mad2::mad2::mad2: I thought I had finally rid my sub of these pescky codes but no such luck. During a road trip noticed a slight hesitation while running uphill at about 65 mph ses light flashed and it threw both 35 and 36. I put a clear return line on it today and have no bubbles. I am also noticing the throttle is very touchy and I can´t hold any rpms in neutral. It just swings up and down. What do you all think optic sensor? IP? I am getting a new lift pump and ops brought down next week but I don´t think that they will help.:nonod: Anybody had similiar probs? Thanks g

Sounds like IP, but if you have a spare pmd I would try that. My spare sets a code 35 and 36 but still works.

Do you use anything for lube in the fuel? Some have reported that it helps with those codes

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunatly this is my spare pmd. I thought the new one I bought was the cause but no such luck.

My son lost his codes by using Diesel Clean additive to the fuel. Also, non-detergent 30w oil worked but not as consistently. We did the ground thing and changed out the optic harness thing with no effect.

My new lift pump and OPS showed up yesterday and I´ll be installing them today. I´ll update afterwards. I´m still leaning towards the IP but hoping for a miracle. Thanks for asking. g

After installing the lift pump and OPS and switching the PMD (again) it still giving me these codes. I also still have the same issues with the spastic throttle and sketchy RPMs. I guess a IP rebuild is in my future. BUMMER.

Do you have a scanner? GMTDScanTech free version will at least show you what the PCM is doing, but you need to buy an ALDL cable to hook to the truck and laptop/PC.

You could see if your OS is not properly set, and with the full version of GMTDScanTech you can set or reset the timing which could help. You should check out your warm idle fuel rates, timing and rpms, what is the coolant temp reading, fuel temp, ect...

Which lube or cetane boost products are you using in the fuel? Or do you get LSD in Mexico?

No scanner here. We are still using good ole high sulfur diesel down here. Thanks buddy for the come back. g
