Hey everyone glad to find such an informative site for a newbie such as myself. I bought a 1995 Chevy 200 HD with a 6.5L turbo. Hot a great deal and have been able to get it running strong. I have found an add-on that I haven't figured out what it is for yet. It looks like a throttle control cable for controlling throttle for semis from outside the cab. I have Pl used and pulled on it and not determined it's function yet. Twice after I pushed the button and drove the truck it seemed as though I did not have overdrive on the train my or an engine brake was being applied. I had to stop, shut off the truck, pull out the button to get it to act normal. Any ideas?

I could not get a pic if the other end. May have to tear it apart underneath ti figure out where it goes. Was just wondering if anyone has ever seen a modification like this?

That looks like a high idle control. :skep:

If not I have no clue! :agreed:

Looks like front differential lock cable if truck is 4x4. OE was electronic and early ones failed sometimes. Throttle should be all electronic.
