Help, replacing core support

Hey guys and missy. Im gonna be replacing the core support ontrhe yukon finally. Getting tired of looking at the crunched up hood and support. How does the core support come out of the gmt400 trucks? any help is appreciated.

Just recently did that to my new to me pickup (got it for salvage from the insurance with help from the P.O.). There are a lot of bolts to pull. It's time consuming but not hard except for the two large bolts that bolt it down to the frame and the AC lines. You'll need to take out both battery boxes, remove the radiator and all shrouds, the tranny and engine oil coolers. The power steering cooler lines go through the core support, they'll need to be removed.Each end of the core support is held to the fender with several bolts. The AC lines need to be completely removed clear back to the firewall. I found it easier to remove the dryer and air filter box to access the lower firewall AC line fitting. As you remove AC lines and the AC dryer plug all the openings to keep them clean and dry. All the electrical lines come through the core support below the drivers side battery in the same place as the power steering lines and go across the lower part of the support to the pass side. There are no connecters in the electrical lines so this will all have to be pulled through to the back side of the support. I would reccommend labeling/taking pics of all this to help remember how it all goes back together. I hope I have remembered/mentioned everything. When I started putting it back together I used neversieze on the bolts to make them go in easier and make things easier for future wrenching.

This would be a good time to remove the intake air snorkle if it is still in the fender.

Allow plenty of time as it is time consuming. I was under time constraints as the body man was letting me do a lot of the grunt work to keep costs down and he was on a schedule to get other rigs done also. If you need more info I'll try to answer any questions.
