Im trying to help a friend remove Mcafee from there computer so they can add them free sites to scan with and they are ahve trouble. When they try to remove it they get scrpit error. And ask if they want to continoutie to run sripts and it runs like it is uninstalling it until it gets to the end then stops and never completes. Any idea? Any web sites with a step by step? Im no the computer so sorry for the spelling

should be just go into Control Panel -> Add Or Remove Programs -> Find McAfee and click remove.

if that does not work. click here
http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe
  • Click Save and save the file to your desktop
  • Close all McAfee Application windows you may have open, and double-click on MCPR.exe to start the removal tool. Windows Vista users will have to right-click on the file and select "Run as Administrator"
  • After the removal tool finishes, you should be prompted to restart your computer.
  • Once the computer restarts, your McAfee product should be uninstalled.

Ok yeah, I second the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool. I was in the process of linking to it...guess I don't need to.
