So i got the engine light comeing on, it wont shift into overdrive until it does. Without the engine light it runs good untill 80kmh then it starts reving real high, it idles about 800rpm without light on, it runs a bit then the light goes on and idle goes up to 1000rpm and shifts good on the highway..if I drive around town it will go on and off and shifts fine but on the highway it needs the engine light on or it revs up near redline..reading codes 15 & 91 which are low coolant temp, and cylinder misfire.. I am running koso tune. I put the stock chip back in today and it did the same thing, read the same codes. When its warm i have to step on the throttle now to get it to start or it dies..any ideas for me here.

If it is an early single thermostat crossover get a new coolant sensor that goes in the crossover. That is the low temp one that keeps the trans from going into OD until the truck is up to minium temp. I am not sure if the newer dual t stat ones have that or not.

Yes i replaced the sensor yesterday and it runs great now, shifts proper and idles proper now, really appreciate the help. Thanks

Tumuch, thanks for reporting back! (sometimes folks do not) We like to hear if the problem was resolved. We are fortunate to have a good group of guys (and Missy) that know their stuff.
