Please forgive if I have created this thread in the wrong place...
I am installing a 3 gauge pillar-mount (EGT, Boost & Trans Temp) in my '95 Suburban and I'm looking for advice on the best way to connect them to the engine and tranny. The directions that came with the kit were way too general. I'd like to know specifically where to attach the boost pressure sensor and the transmission temp sensor. (should drilling and tapping involved?)
Thank you in advance for your advice!

for the boost gauge you have 2 options, either (a) drill and tap the upper intake manifold (remove manifold to do so and replace gasket) or (b) go to pmdcable.com and order the boost bolt. it replace one of your manifold bolts and is drilled and tapped to accept the boost gauge adapter. for the trans temp gauge you have 2 options again, (a) there is a test port just above the neutral safety switch that is the right size for the sender, or (b) order a mag-hytec trans pan that has a sensor port built in. (option a is cheaper but not as accurate due to the fact that it will read slower).

another trans option is to braze an adapter into the trans pan. for egt you have several options. for pre turbo you can use croosver pipe usually drivers side or if you want to get really into it there is a flat boss cast into the pass side manifold. post turbo would be in the down pipe close to the turbo

For the Trans temp if choosing to use the pan route you can also use one of these and avoid welding or buying a pan with a port in it. Could of welded a fitting but chose to avoid this so as to not affect the coating on the pan from heat, so far my trans pan is rust free.

I did it on mine in the front passenger side corner (on the side) for a nice non interference location. I i recall correctly it then sits just in front of where the dipstick pokes into the pan.
I just drilled and tapped my upper intake housing for the boost fitting.

Cheers
Nobby

Thank you both for the advice - What are the pros & cons of pre-turbo / post turbo EGT Temp?

I just wanted to say thanks for the help - I got the Boost Bolt and it works great for the turbo boost gauge and also need to thank turbine doc for his guidance on exactly where and especially HOW to drill & tap the exh manifold for the temp gauge (with engine running and grease on the drill bit to catch the chips). I haven't done the trans temp yet but with the tips y'all gave, it should go just as smoothly.
