Under the passenger side floor mat and the rear floor mat get very wet and starts to smell bad. Where is this moisture coming from and how can I get rid of it?

Has anyone else experienced this?

Todd

does it do it year round and does it smell like just water or antifreeze? Couple possibilities. Leaking heater core (will smell like anti-freeze), stopped up condensation drain(hose that drops down right in front of passenger firewall), or leaky door seals.

Definitely not antifreeze.

It does do it year round (not just when it rains). I would understand the condensation drain if it did not do it in the rear also.

Still confused.

yeah, that's what was kinda making me think door seal but if it's doing it when it's dry out then it almost has to be the drain which would mean it's just water logged the front so bad that it's transferring to the back. Easy to do....get under there with a coat hanger and run it through that drain.

it'll be right in front of the passenger firewall....it'll be a rubber hose.

When I first got my truck I had this problem.

Someone working on the truck previously managed to turn the drain fitting to an upright position. Needless to say, the opening needs to point down.

I had a leaking issue caused by a bad seal around the windshield. Only an issue when washing the truck or when it rained though.
