My Burb will start sometimes (drove it all the week before last) then act randomly and not start or barely start. always seems when its cold, but gettin fuel and plugs are working
Runs great when it starts
Help please:mad2:

Sounds like fuel problem or lack of. Have you actually checked fuel pressure? Check grounds at pass side rear of intake. Could be a fried PMD.
Tell us more, maybe someone can help pinpoint it.

Thought PMD do to the erratic behavior but usually they fail when warm not cold correct?
Don't know about actual pressure but the lift pump runs good and ther is plenty of flow when cracking the top of the filter housing and the drain valve

It's temp swings that kill PMD,, and if it's on the pump,, it's prop on its way out or gone. You will want to relocate it, if it's on the pump, So do your self a favor and get a kit from the poster above you from his link. PMD, resistor, heatsink, extension cable, and mount that badboy in the front bumper area, and be done with it. Don't forget to do that OPS relay mod, while you got your tools out!

You want this rig reliable don't you? Now get busy!

Mine started playing up a few weeks ago after checking that I had at lest 13volts coming from the feed pump I did a flow check: put some tubing on the Tap at the front of the engine long enough to hang over into a clean plastic 1 US gallon container, open the tap 5 full turns start if you can the truck for 2 mins then you should have accumulated 3 US quarts. I didn't the engine stopped at 30 seconds found out that the line from the fuel sender in the tank had rusted or snapped so it was sucking in air....

actually we were thinking it might be a rouge fuel solenoid
in the past it was like something finally got warm but now it just acts like somebody turned a switch on or off
