I'm relatively new to DMX's but I've had a Cummins since like forever so Diesels are not totally new to me. I was an OTR Owner/Operator but came off the road about 7 yrs. ago for a great local job dispatching (yeah!...no more driving!!).
My truck is a '93 Dodge 2-wd Ext.Cab with A/T. Totally Stock. I pull in 21mpg city and an easy 26mpg hwy. But that's keepin' the speed to 62mph.
HER truck is an '04.5 Silverado LLY DMX 2-wd CrewCab Dually (she wanted a bigger/quieter truck than mine. Her truck is also totally stock. I've not done any mods to it although I am considering some milder ones to improve her mpg's. She's getting only 13-15 in town and 16-17 on the road (and we have made several trips from WA to AZ and NV). I try hard to keep the speeds around 67 in her truck as I've tried everything from 60 to 75 and this seems to be the most economical (right about 2000 rpm's). I have hand figured these numbers and I'm kind of disappointed by them so I want to do somethings to improve them.
Since I'm now on disability $$ is tight so anything I do must be inexpensive and I'm open to all suggestions.

Just wanted to say hello, let ya know what I'm driving.

Welcome.

I would say the most effective MPG gain mod would be a chip/tuner.

EFI Live from a Vendor with a good MPG good would be effective also.
