Heated seats question

I've got a friend that just bought a '03 K1500 Tahoe. Neither the driver or passenger heat work on the seats. I've checked the fuse and it is OK. The heated seats have two switches one if you just want the bottom to heat and one if you want both the bottom and back to heat. On both driver and pass. when you hit just the bottom button the light in the switch will flash, but not stay on. No lights come on when you hit the bottom/back button.

Any help would be appreciated!!!!

Common problem. The wires in the seats are very thin and after age, heat cycles and people sitting on them they break. The only fix is to pull the seat apart, find the broken connection and solder it back together.

Hummmm............sounds like alot of trouble. I don't think my Friend would want me tearing into her seats.
