Anybody know of a good mechanic near Havlock. My father in-law has a 2001 Dodge Ram and is towing a 30 some foot fith wheel. He left home from Montana a few months ago and part way to Florida he developed a noise. Took it in to a Dodge dealership and they replaced the carrier bearing on the driveshaft and the output seal. Got to Florida and was getting the same noise and a leak. So he went into another Dodge dealership and they said the carrier bearing is bad again, and it also needs a u-joint and there is a service bulletin about replacing the yoke when the output seal in the transfer case is changed. The dealer in Florida said the labor rate is $175/hr. but since he's had a problem at another dealer they would do it for $135/hr. He is now at my sister in-laws in North Caroline and my wife said she didn't getthe specifics but he is still having problems with the truck, so I figured I'd jump on here and see if anyone knows someone good and that they would trust, or do trust to work on their trucks.

Nobody. How about a driveline shop. I talked to him yesterday and he made it to the sister in-laws and is going to pull the driveshaft out in her driveway. Said the carrier bearing spit out of the rubber again and the rear seal on transfer case is leaking again. I was thinking if there was a driveline shop he could drop it off at and tell them what it's doing they might know and can fix it for him.
