When I did the DURAMAX swap on the BURB I had to do something with the corner lamps as the stockers wouldn't clear the intercooler. I bought a new light set off EBAY that had LED corner lights that I could cut down and projector headlights. I would like to get a bit more light from the projectors than I have now as when it's raining they are a bit dim. They have H1 55W bulbs in them now, so what are my options for upgrades? I like the HIR's, but don't see them for H1's. I would also like to upgrade the high beams, but they are the standard 9005's(?). Any help is appreciated as I am on a pretty skinny budget right now.

I still have some $35/shipped H1 HID Kits left.

...or I have the Best Halogen H1's Money can Buy if you want those as well.

What is the color on the $35 H1's you got left? And could you PM me a price on some 4300 and 5000 in your others? And also how about the 9005 HIR's?

Got the H1 HID's today, now to find the time to install em and add in relays and new wiring to the front as I want to do the all on mod and upgrade that tiny wire that GM ran to the headlights from the factory. Now if PHILLIPS would hurry up and make the new 9011 HIR's.

Well I decided to install the HID's and my PHILLIP's 9011 bulbs(just went with regualr 9011 replacements from PHILLIP's, $19.98 each and got em locally), and I think I flash burned my eyes. I got everything wired in for the low and high beams and the directions for the HID's said to do a 10 minute burn in. SO I cranked it up and let em run for 10 minutes. While doing this I was working on finding a mounting spot for my fog lights and when squatting down underneath the bumper accidentally got hit by the HID's dead on. So needless to say everything is kid of blurry right now, so my typing is fun. All I can say is, LET THERE BE LIGHT! Wholly sheep balls batman, I don't even have the foglights hooked up yet but I can light it up like daytime out with all 4 on. It's like blazing Q BEAM spotlights up there now.

And whoever the IDIOT at GM was that decided a single 18 guage wire was sufficient to power two 55 watt headlights is a COMPLETE MORON! And a single 16 guage wire for the 2 60 watt headlights coupled up with an 18 guage ground to each light, that is some really shitty cost cutting measures there now. I now have 12 guage fuse holders going into 14 guage from the relays to the splices to the lights and a 15 amp fuse for each. I also added in a 14 guage ground wire spliced into each side for lights now to ad in some extra grounding since grounds normally go unnoticed. Unfortunately one of my relays sticks on occasionally(great quality for one of the supposed GOOD $10 30 amp relays), but I can remedy that tommorrow when I finish wiring in my fog light switch and mount them once my vision returns. My alternator hates me already, so she aint gonna be happy when I wire in the 2 55 watt projector fog lights and have all 6 lights going at once:eek::D. No more being blind while driving in the dark.

And the 4300K bulbs burn AWESOME, it is a REALLY clear white light that lights things up cleanly. Hopefully I don't get stopped by the cops now for having the HID's in, although it's not like I'm one of those ricers with the purple HID's blinding everybody as I do have projector housings with good cut-offs in em.

My cameras pretty crappy, but heres some pics. The fog lights were actually a waste of money really though as the low beams with HID's in the projectors put out A TON of light. And I don't think I need to worry about glare. Took it for a spin and didn't get flashed once, although other cars with HID's were getting flashed in front of and behind me. HID's in a regualr non projector housing do seem to make ALOT of glare compared to my projectors.

These will be in order of low, then low and fogs, and then all on. I did 2 sets, one on grass and the other in a driveway by a garage.
