my truck has beel felling gutless, ideling very ruff, and is acting the same as it was a bout a month ago when the OPS went out. i put a new genuine ac/delco replacement in and all problems got better.

I opened the water drain with truck running and no fuel came out and the truck died after about a min. i then pulled the plug from the OPS and jumped the LP with air bleeder open and it pumped fuel.

could the OPS be bad again or do i have other problems filter was changed about a month ago as well

he is the check list from the last time noting has changed other than a few more mile on the clock, and it has not stalled so i am leaving that part out

When was the last time you changed the OPS?

When I change the LP I also change out the OPS or vise versa. If either is still good then I got a spare!

if connector on ops and no fuel, then bypass ops and get fuel then its a bad ops. I agree that you might check fuel filter but only with reason to determine if lp is pulling excessive amperage burning out the ops contacts

pull the connector plug a wire into the orange (hot wire) and grey
(LP wire) I just changed the filter a month ago and the ops should i try and do both again

I just dealt w/ this same issue a couple weeks ago. New ops and LP and still stalling. I ran some wires from the lp to the batter and jumped the pump and drove about 20 miles and it still died out. The pump and IP were good. The filter was new as well. That only left one thing the fuel tank. Lot's of junk in their from the fuel stations. filtered the fuel into a doubled up old sheet over a 55 gal drum. Then blew out the fuel lines, cleaned tank and reinstalled. All good now. That is the next logical step.

chevyCowboy, you may want to do the relay mod for the OPS/LP. Search it here, there was a long thread about how to do it. Or check in Kennedy Diesel website if you want a ready made one.

i was suspecting a problem with the wireing btwn the ops and lp so i spliced in a 12 volt source off of the turn signal fuse. using this thing i found at the autoparts store that gives you an extra spot in the fuse pannel and has a pig tail off it. so i ran that to a switch and the switch to a splice directly behind the Ops connector. with switch on Lp runns great never a problem(funny part is that the truck will continue to run after ingnition is off, i dont get it beacouse there shouldnt be power to the turn signal fuse when the ignition is off? any ideas) so i guess i will go get a new ops tomorow hope the dealer will waranty it or something only had it alittle over a month

Do the relay mod on the OPS, so that the OPS triggers a realy made to handle the current better.

You can jump your OPS on a 93 like my 94 by bumping the top of the fuse on the passenger firewall up against one of the battery junctions next to it. Check the fuse too.
