A budy was willing to buy a 2000 K1500 which was sitting there till 6 months.

The previous owner just let her on the side because of a leaking fuel manager.

They changed the O-ring and tried to start her. No luck, thet killed the batteries.

He phoned me, and told me the story, saying there's something weird as when keying on, turn signal at the dash light both, so does high beam light, and they flicker a bit.

I told him this is obviously electrical and says it should be wise he clean all grounds, especially the one on the frame, before he investigates further.

1/2 hour later, I received another phone call, saying she starts at first key on after grounds have be cleaned
He was just anxious because he has no oil pressure.

I told him to check OPS, as they probably damaged it when pulling out the fuel filter manager.
That's what they did, and found a broken OPS.

Now he is an happy owner of a nice working 2000 K1500 :D

Wish all problems be so easy to fix ...

Matuva are you the Australian 6.5 guru? It seems like your number is listed in the phone book and people who have 6.5 issues call you and you fix there problems. :haha:

Still Thats a pretty funny story. Kudos to you.

Well, here's the end of the story :

the truck the guy put back with my help on the road and finally bought is a K2500, that I was myself expecting to buy, really cheap... :mad2:

But when I helped the guy at the phone, I didn't know that yet.
I just saw the "for sale" advertisement on the newspaper and didn't go fast enough.

When I arrived the previous owner said he just sold the truck. I asked why the price was so low, he answered he didn't want the truck anymore, that the guy was able to make her run with the help of "someone" at the phone :sosp:

When I heard that, I immediately understood and had the strange feeling that I myself shoot a bullet in my own foot :soapbox

Oooh well, let's say that's life... Hope dog's days won't be so long....
