Just did mine. Got the Plate off Ebay.

It is NOT a Simple & Easy Job to do. Unless I was doing stuff the totally WRONG way, it was one of the most Frustrating things I've ever done. Trying to get that damn Manifold Off was such a PITA.

But I got it done and all back together.

It almost seems as if the Truck doesn't know what to do with all the Extra Air it's getting.

Maybe it needs Time to Learn? I dunno, but it Drives kinda Funky right now.

Did you take the entire manifold off?
When I cleaned mine out somehow I remember it only took a few minutes... pop the bolts sandwiching the heater between the two halves of the intake out on the workbench and it all came apart really easily.

What does it feel like? From what I understand, its pretty restrictive, really limiting or slowing down the air flow.

Are there electronics that you have to disable?

You'll need to turn off the codes via EFILive.

It almost Feels like there is too much Air and not enough Fuel, or I have to give it more Throttle than I used to.

It def. is Restrictive. One of the Heads of the Mounting Bolts for the Grid had some Corrosion on it Inside. So that wasn't Helping with Flow either.

You'll have to Disable CEL's with EFI, and there is a Large Power Wire you'll have to Tape Up or Remove from the Harness & Junction Box.
