Good day all,

We recently have problems with 2 flight system PMDs which died less than a month after they were installed. That's only 2 of them, but we notice that both are with green dots, coming from a seller from Florida.

AFAIR the others are doing their job flawlessly, and they are with white dots.

Anybody knows why some have green dots, and others white ones? Are the ones with green dots coming from another coompany than Flight Systems?

Don't they all come from DCP and get re branded?? So are you saying if you stick a white dot in, it works fine??
When its 2 in a row like that i start thinking about the poppet in the fuel solenoid being siezed up but if the white dot works i would be stumped i guess. Symtoms??
I should add i don't know the diff if there is one but there is a DS4 5068 pump that uses a PMD perhaps that could be it but im guessing!!

Sorry, I wasn't clear. The PMD with white dot we installed on different trucks have no return. We recently installed PMD on trucks on which we found green dots instead of white ones, and we already have 2 returns in less a month of usage. The last one failed after a week only...

Should be no difference between Hummer and GM PMDs and should be interchangable. As i said before not sure about the 5068 pump. It could be different PMD but i don't know.
Curious to know what the running issues were??

Im thinking they have inspectors on the line. It just depends on what pen they pick up that day.

Update: I have blamed the PMD... but it wasn't the culprit, nor was the extension cable.

In fact, it is the PMD connector of the IP harness itself which was shot. Put a new harness, and she now start and run like a charm.

did your cruise quit to with the bad harness?

The same general heated area that kills the stock PMD, kills the IP Harness also.

Which make me wonder, how many of the bad PMD also caused by bad/weak IP harness?
