Wanted to start a new thread as I have questions and didn't want to hi-jack vaicase's thread.

Just finished doing my new GPs and injectors. All of the Bosch variety. They weren't that old, but the GPs were the old WAPs, and wanted them out of there. Just figured I may as well do injectors as well while in there. Injectors that were in there were Bosch. Passenger side, I took off the wheel, inner fender and turbo. Easy-peasy after that, but all in all a big pain in the azz. Left a lot of skin and a little blood in the area, but probably saved a great deal over having a mechanic do it. I'd be curious to know what a job like that would cost in a shop. Driver's side was a piece of cake. Did it in different sessions a few days apart.

Got to tell you that it starts and runs way better now.... BUT durning removal I found the turbo to manifold bolts were somewhat loose, and of course cranked them down when I reinstalled the turbo (with a gasket). The turbo seems to spool up a lot quicker now, but has less boost on the guage. Maxes out at about 10, when it was 12-13 before. And EGTs seem a little lower... Doesn't seem to get as hot when I "punch it". Does that make sense? I may have to turn up my turbo-master???

Good luck with yours vaicase.
