Well, I went and did it. My buddy has a Yamaha TTR-125 sitting in his garage. I've been trying to get it to run right after it was sitting for three years. Two carb cleanings later and a new plug and the thing still has a bad stumble. Anyway, I finished doing some work on my truck, and was waiting for my friend to get back from the store so I said, what the hell, I'll beat up on the little 125. Well the little bike fought back. I was playing around in the street in front of the house, just doing some wheelies up and down. Well since 1st and 2nd wind out too fast I started throwing it up in 3rd. Then when I got comfortable I started shifting 4th. Soon enough I was shifting three gears and winding out 5th before I put the bike down. Well in my last attempt to wheelie the whole block, I had that little bastard at 12:00 in 5th. Everything was going fine until wham. I started drifting to the left, fast. When I tried to set it down, I was already at a 45 degree angle to the ground. The front tire hit and washed out. I had a "****, this is gonna hurt" moment. Well off I went sliding off the road and onto a front lawn. Since I was only wearing a t-shirt and no gloves, the trauma list went as follows. Road rash on both palms, left forearm, elbow, pinky knuckle, left knee, and side. Oh and a dislocated shoulder added for good measure. The bike was fine. I had to wait, bleeding, for 20 minutes until my friend got back to help me relocate my shoulder. That took another 30 fun filled minutes. The last time I crashed was on my buddies 1982 XL 125 when I tried to jump a double with a beer in my hand. At least this time I was sober. The moral of the story is stay away from 125's! They're evil! :mad2:
