This is a long shot but I currently have GMTDScan Tech for my 95. I also want to purchase AE for my 2000. Has anybody tried having both on one laptop ? Does it cause any conflicts ? I don't get all that buadstream jargon. Just want to know if they can both be on the same Laptop. Really don't want to buy another laptop.

I can't see a problem, I have GMTDScan Tech and CARCODE with no problems on the same laptop

2 separate programs should have absolutely no probem co-existing on one laptop, as long as the laptop isn't 10 years old I don't see a problem as long as it meets specs for AE. (Hurry up) :)

All the pcware scantools will load on a suitable pc without conflict, long as you don't try to open more than one app at a time, which would cause a communication link error amongst the ports, could even get you the blue screen of death

GMTDScan is strictly for the GM OBD1 6.5 - AE is multi-platform OBD2, so you'll need to select options to set it up

I have GMTDScan and AE 7.2 on my laptop (U100 MSI with the 1.66Ghz Atom CPU).
When under Windows XP Pro SP, AE wasn't working stable.

I have upgraded to Windows7 RC1 and re-installed the all thing.
Perfect! No need to add an extra driver for GMTDScantech to work, and AE is now riunnng stable.

So, to answer your question, yes, GMTDScantech and AE can co-exist trouble free, the only problem will come from your Windows OS...

Theoretically, if you don't run it at the same time, it should be fine. If you use both at the same time, simultaneously, means that you are hooking up your 95 and 00 at the same time in the same computer. I am not sure what will happen. Fortunately, one person cannot drive two vehicle at the same time. So realistically, you probably won't run them at the same time.

The software is only a software, in modern computer, you have to invoke the software to run.

Now it is different if the computer is made for a certain software like the game, WII could not be run in PS3 for example. Both of them are specific use computer.

Move your power supply outside the computers case so it wont overheat, then remove the CPU and install it 2 MM to the left. Then turn the voltage up on the FSB 1.1 volts.

SHould work fine then Kenny :)
