I got my GMTDScan tech installed[took all of 4 hrs to download"dialup" what a PITA that was]:mad2: Still waiting for the cable.

Is there anything i need to know about how to use this program without FFing things up? I am as green as they come when it comes to using these things.:iamwithstupid:

thanks

Make sure the com port on the program and the computer are the same. Open the tools section on the program to change the com port if needed. The program is very user friendly. Good luck..Leo

X2- got mine last week, that was all that had to be corrected. I had to download cable drivers, change com port, restart program, set switch to middle and boom- good times. as a side thread hijack:hijacked::sad6:,
has anyone else have same problem when all gauges read more than ecm, bullydog tranny off 50 degrees and boost off 2, truck temp off 20 degrees, voltage off 1.5. I can understand stock gauges, but everyone is off. which is most accurate?

You are probably seeing the +/- accuracy of guages. I would say the PCM readings are the correct ones, and you are seeing the inefficencies of analog guages. I've always check guages w/scanner to get the real readings.

I had the com port problem also. As long as I had to wait for the cable,I ordered the program on cd. That way if the computer ever crashes I still have the program. Faster to install also.
I've had troubles with napa ecm and gauge sensors. Not shure what to believe.

My tranny gauge reads 40F higher than SCANTech at operating temp. SCANTech reads about 1psi higher than my boost gauge. Leo
