I want/need to swap radios in my 97 Suburban. For some reason the clock resets to 1:00 each time I turn the ignition on, and it's missing knobs. I have access to stock radios at the tow yard I work at, but we don't have any GM truck radios on hand.

So on to my question - Will any factory GM radio plug into any GM vehicle? I have a radio from a late 90s Olds 88 and a radio from a early 00s Grand Prix available. Both are the proper DIN size. I know I could put in an aftermarket radio for not much $$, but these are $0 and I like the stock look anyway.

For $0.00 try em.
The 1:00 on start up is likely because the memory power wire is not providing power. Check fuses. Possible you have a bad ground or other condition like a bad battery causing low voltage during cranking that is resetting the clock. Could be a bad radio as well.

I believe cars were different. you need radios from 1995-2002 trucks or SUVs. they switched dash styles drastically in 2003, but the 99-02 dash still shared the radio.
