Had to replace my glow controller this morning. It had been intermittently sticking on. Went out to start my truck this morning and the batts were completely dead. Evidently last time I moved it it wasn't all the way warmed up and I missed the glow plug light being on when I shut it down. The light does stay on when the relay sticks, even with the key off. I already had a new one I just haven't had alot of spare time lately. Here's some pics of it disassembled. Prolly could have been cheap and just cleaned the contacts but the new was only $50.

Were the contacts welding themselves together or was it the plunger sticking?

pretty sure it was the contacts. So far anyway the glows seem to be fine. I'm sure I shortened their life span

That is a simple board in there vs. the older self contained units that were not PCM controlled.
