Just finished my second tank of fuel with the chip. Between the two milage is up about 1&3/4 mpg. Not bad considering first tank really did not stand a chance. That brings the truck in my sig to just under 18 mpg.

18 MPG on a K3500 crew cab dually is unheard of I thought. Thats great, that TCC lockup mod probably helps a little.

Do you just drive really sensibly? :) I get about 18MPG but thats driving fast and furious in my C1500 up and down long steep coastal hills.

OMG, i want one of those chips, i cant wait untill this summer. I would have bought it but my new engine has the H/O pump, so i wouldnt be able to use it right now, so i might as well wait. I get 16 mpg around home with 200k injectors and other components. I would love to get 18 and higher with my ride....

Yup, my new engine came with the computer and h/o pump, but my truck now has a reg ip. SO i wanted to buy it to"test" run to see how much it woke my current dead tired 6.5. But there is no sense in buying it yet if i cant use it, and i didn know if he was to update something on the chip while i was replacing the engine. I want to keep the /ho pump since it is low mileage, so im going to swap over to the h/o system, i almost have the engine stand in my possession. One more week....

That's awesome!!! I just cleared a 16mpg tank of mixed highway/city/alot of 45mph backroads. To be fair, this was only 80 miles of driving before re-fill, but still, I had to fight to jam 5 gallons in. = 16mpg on the dot.

I don't have new dp or exhaust, but my DP doesn't look too bad factory and kitty ran away.... 125k on injectors (well on 5 of them, other 3 are new (longer story)).

Exhaust/ fresh injectors/ GLE / ATT After all that I'll bet I'll be too broke to afford diesel to test it out!

Want to add, I weighed 9800lbs during those 80 miles traveled.

Also, I usually average around 14mixed. Not sure if its winter/summer blend yet.

Maybe the 6 'slicks' i'm running are helping my mileage :) btw, i scored 2 235/85 16e's yesterday... 4 more to go!!! they are quite larger than my 225/70's... Can't wait! Then I can drive 100% in 3rd, and only use O/D on highways = no engine bog and max rpms should be around 2200-2300 for me, I predict in 3rd drive up to 2500, then shift into O/D and when it catches it should be between 1800-2000. My truck seems to heavy to shift into O/D and catches under 1500rpm. Too much bog me thinks.

I regularly got 17-28 with my old motor running 65-75 stock chip. Heck I got 17.9 on the last trip with the motor going. Haven't had the new one long enough to get mileage yet but I'm hoping with the ATT I can do better.

I ran the second tank very sensibly. It actually came out to just over 18&1/2 mpg. The engine has about 10K on it and the injectors have about 2k on them. I really like the chip. Did not use the TCC lockup switch at all. With this chip somewhere between 40 and 45 mph, depending on how hard you are driving, the converter locks solid and if I don't push it to hard it seems to stay locked down to about 38-39 mph. If you let off the fuel feed and coast the converter stays lock for quit some time. There is actually some good engine braking ti be had. I had ran Heath's 2.0 chip for the last 2&1/2 years or so and the difference is night and.

That's great mileage!! So the GL4 also shifts into high fast just as the GLE? I have the GLE too and see 19+ with no load and 14-15 with my 20ft enclosed trailer with various loads. 550 - 625 miles per tank on average. Working on a new larger turbo next. It would be nice to have these engines pull real hard from 1100 to 2200 and accel from there to 3K. If I can get it to run like a stock Cummins I'll be happier.

Matt did you have 225/70's or 225/75's?

225/75's... my 235/85's are aggresive patterned, not ribbed, but I scored 6 for 200, 2 low miles but a bit dry, and the other 4 suppose to get tonight, but I'll get soon... 1hr ride away, not sure of condition, but they are more M/S than highway. I expect a mileage drop, but at least i'll lock in my new tire size, and i can find better/ribbed (at least for the front) with time. i need inspectino sticker in 2 weeks, and i'm running slicks now, I get traction from that steel traction belt that they hide underneath the old treads :)

Get them shoes on there that's dangerous! I just shoud mine with 6 new Michelin X's. I had slicks but not down to the belts!!! Plus, haven't you been getting a bunch of wet weather lately?

Only one has steel showing... I chased an alignment problem (think i got jipped) and kept tossing the bad front tire around the other 5 until all tires were bad... Got my moneys worth from the set I boutght over 2 years ago i guess, got about 35000 miles from the set.

As far as traction, I havn't even had the slightest of problems stopping fast wet/dry or steering. NOt even a problem plowing hills of worcester... I think once you get to a certain weight, you start to take advantage of the fact you have 6 tires, and gravity stabalizes things. I've driven empty 'regular' pickup trucks, and always being heavy has a huge advantage. Even with my quesetionable skins, I can do alot of plowing in 2wd... It's amazing actually, as I see 'regular' pickups with 4 brand new tires spinnin n sliding... too light.

Plus i hid the steel belt on the rear 'inner' of course :) been there for quite some time. But, I know my limits, and i'm there. Can't wait to put my new beef on.

Soon will be the GLE, as Heath recommends for me for the weight. (To get back on track, sorry hijack).

Went on vacation the other week and towed pretty heavy(10,500K). Got about 14.4 mpg and had no soot on my stainless exhaust tip or the rear fender. Trip was about 550 miles.
