alright guys.

i'm getting some new wheels to continue the blacked out theme on my truck. i'm looking at getting some KMC xd addicts. (see link). my questions is which offset should i get?? i'm new to the whole aftermarket rim scene. looks like there is 2 options, -12mm and +18mm.

i'm looking at picking up some H2 take off's and running the bfg's on these rims and then selling the H2 rims. hopefully i can fit these 315 bfg's from the hummer wheels on these addict rims on my truck with just cranking and trimming, since that what i've been told you can make fit, since the backspacing and what not is right on the hummer wheels.

if anyone seems something majorly flawed in my theory, please let me know.

EDIT: what bolt pattern should i get? 8 x 6.5?? or there's an option for the 8 x 170??

I think you have bolt pattern of 8x165
And offset is the distance from the center of the rim to the mounting surface. A positive offset means the mounting surface is closer to the outside so the wheel itself sits further into the wheel well. People getting wide tires or want wider wheel base will get a negative offset, moving the mounting surface of the wheel closer to the truck side of the wheel, so the wheels dont rub on the well when turning.

The offset is in millimeters, so its not very much, 50mm is about 2 inches, I would not get anything more than -12mm offset getting the wider tires, so -12 or something more negative for wider wheel base.

i thought the H2 wheels at a positive offset that kept them sucked in a little bit further, making them easier to run bigger wheels on non-lifted trucks? am i making that up or does anybody know if that's true.
