The reason why I'm posting here is because I already posted few weeks ago at the market place and received no replies.
The true fact is that here there's always someone to help :hug:

Here is the problem : I have a friend with a 2003 Silverado, a gasser--- Yep, I know, a gasser, but he is a very good friend--- :dunno:

The speedo needle is blocked at 200 km/hour. Nobody here knows how to repair it, and no spare is available.

I told him 200kmh is not a legal speed---

The request is : any of youo knows where we can find a cluster assy for a 2003 Silverado with gas engine?
The main reading in speedo is in Km/h and not mph

He is intersted either in new ones or good used one.

BTW, do you know if the odometer updates itself to the receiver truck datas or does it stroe the ones from the donor?

IIRC they had problems with them and are a warranty item. Have him check with the dealer if you have one on the island.

Unfortunately, Chevrolet dealer is now a new one, starting mid 2008, and they don't want to worry about previous models.
They say they will only care about GM cars & trucks they sell themselves--- not the previous ones

Did you try gm parts direct?

Most difficult part will be getting the bezel off the dash - pull the cluster, remove the plastic len, needles, and faceplate, free-up the speedo shaft in the plastic gimbal\bearings, reassemble in reverse order - so easy, a caveman could do it....................
