Gas put in diesel

I accidentally put roughly 1/8th of a gallon of gas in a 40 gallon tank of diesel fuel will this be diluted enough to be ok the teuck was driven about 6 miles after it happened

You said 1/8th of a gallon in 40 gallons of diesel?... If that is correct it ain't going to hurt a thing.. if you're super concerned with it put some 2-stroke oil in the fuel tank

Thanks for the advice i figured 40 gallons of diesel fuel to gas mix was like .012%
Which is nothing but when you hear horror stories of this happening and what it can do it pretty concerning i put a quart of 2 stroke oil in and it should be fine

The gasoline will kill any diesel bugs in the fuel tank...

Unleaded fuel is used by on-road truckers in wintertime to prevent gelling. Not sure how much is added, but they use a small amount to prevent icing/gelling...

I have been regularly adding 1 gallon of gas when I fill my 500 gallon tank for many years. Usually a left over can of mixed 50:1 for the Stihl. I also add a gallon of ashless 2 stroke oil sometimes.
