I recieved the Full-torgue insert kit yester day and i am planning on getting together with Samyguy this weekend to fix both of our cracked blocks. i will bring the camera along and take pics as we go along.

Here are a few pics of the kit, inserts, and tap

the kit is nicely oraginzed and even comes with MSDS for their tapping fluid and their thread locking compound. they also include a Cd with there catalog on it and a DVD with step-by-step instructions. not much for the price but if it fixes the crack that fine with me

you can see the odd "barbed" shape of the threads on the inserts and the tap this is what is supposed to provide the clamping affect preventing the crack from spreading apart.

the inserts are fairly thick walled (around 1/8th) and the geometry of the inner whole is exactly the same as the original holes in the block

more to come after the weekend.
