Ok, so we swapped a new fuel pump on and it started up ok. Let it run for awhile. Started revving up a bit. Yes we made sure there was no air in it anywhere.

We pulled a injection line off and turned the motor over. The fuel just barely dripped. Shouldn't it be more?

We went to drive around the block and it stalled(again!!!). Went to start it up and it's like it's not getting any fuel. New fuel filter too.

I'm about to shoot the thing!

what do you have a mech fuel pump? Don't know alot about the older trucks is there a sock on the pickup in the fuel tank?

if you've got a spare set of hands, you can roll it over with the air bleed open and see if you've got fuel there. that'll tell you if you the pump is working or getting anything. when you installed the pump did you make sure the pushrod was out of the way?

if it has an electric pump open the bleed screw next time it stalls. Better yet would be to have a fuel pressure guage to verify pressure

There is a screen in the tank that actually has sort of a bypass. Unlikey the problem. I just went through this with my Burb. There was a hairline crack in the pickup tube. Sight glass it. That is the next step you need to take. Anything else is a waste of time. You probably have air. The littles bit of air will drive you crazy and just cracking the bleeder will only tell you there is fuel pressure not if there is air in the fuel. If you are getting air(which sounds like a possiblity) then disconnect the fuelline from the back of the Influent side of the LP and get some fuel line and drop it in a nice fresh 5 gal can of diesel and then try running it. That should confirm. If there is air getting into the system it will be pre LP with an elec LP. If it was post LP you'd see a leak. also you won't see a whole lot of fuel from the Inj lines.

It runs!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And drives!!!!!!!!!!!! Point A to point B and back again!!!!!!!!!

The screen/strainer/sock was quite nasty and when we had that out we found out that we had the send and return lines crossed. Ooops! Chalk it up to life but it's running good now. Keeping fingers crossed.

I really want to thank everyone on here that helped out. Couldn't have done it without you.
