I'm going order up some extra lengths of fuel line for my walbro/racor install, and for my FTB/Fuel pressure gauge install.

I found some U-Braind clear nylon hose for bio-diesel/diesel. Says inexpensive alternative to Viton, from vegpower website. Does this stuff last a long time? I actually like the clear idea.

Or just get viton or viton similar?

The Ubraid hose is around 1.50 a foot and the other/viton is upwards of 8-10 per foot.

Questions.

1. WHat size fuel line do I need to go over the existing metal FSU tubes for the prefilter? 1/2"?

2. What size fuel line is currently going from FLT MGR to IP? (PRE FTB)? 1/4 "?

3. What size fuel line is FTB from flt mgr to IP? 3/8"??

Thanks.

Looks nice and cheap too, doesn't guarantee compatibility, which is why you posted the followup link... Interesting. Can defanately see whats going on down there. Would be nice going into the Racor as I could visually see its not gelled, or gelled, had I had a problem. I feel untrusting of it as of now unfortunately. I'd hate to send that stuff upstream if it breaks apart, then again, the racor and the flt mgr would catch it for sure before IP.

Are the steel lines 3/8"? Im looking to cut mine this weekend and either compression fitting to barb (OK for low pressure) or just flaring them and clamping (more likely). I am assuming 3/8 fuel line will slide onto them.

Matt,

Don't do the urebrade stuff for under the intake manifold in that valley. It's too hot in there, the hose will become brittle and weak. I know this for fact. I do recommend using it other places, just not in the valley. Thanks.

I thought it was your engine shot I remembered seeing it. Thanks for the headsup. Exactly what I was searching for.

My fuel lines look just like brake lines... could be 3/8ths...

I hope Harbor Freight sells flaring tools. I'm in need of one. I gotta get into 'fittings' and stuff...

flaring them and clamping (more likely). I am assuming 3/8 fuel line will slide onto them.

If you use a double flaring tool and only do the first step it will leave a nice smooth bump on the steel line and not restrict the flow.
