Fuel hose for bleeder valve

Can I use 1/4" Parker 7212 hose for the bleeder? My hose has developed a leak from the fuel filter manager to the bleeder valve.

I found this, also. It has the SAE J30 R7 rating, which looks like it becomes a hose rated for diesel, as well. Autozone carries it.

By bleeder, do you mean T drain?

When you bleed the filter, you still need to bleed the top of the filter

Yes, the bleeder off the dirty side of the fuel filter, up at the tensioner.

It's 1/4" hose IIRC. It sees lift pump pressure and that's it. Air bleed at top of filter.

it is, indeed, 1/4". I must have not had 1/4" when I replaced it last time (about 10 years ago) because the one I took off was 5/16". It turns out that it had started to crack at a bend. My guess is that the additional pressure from this Walbro I have not did it in if it was near the end of its life, anyhow.

That is not a bleeder. You also have to bleed the top of the fuel filter.

The T drain is to drain water off the filter. I always start there when bleeding the fuel filter though.

I was calling it the wrong thing, I guess. It is for draining the dirt out of the fuel filter before changing. I haven't ever used it when changing out a filter, but I can see that it may be useful for that, in purging air.

I always run some fuel out of the drain T whenever I am doing much of anything to a 6.5
