Fuel filter drain valve

I already have a used one. sorry - being a smart mouth.

Mine is really cranked down to keep it from leaking and I wasn't sure I could even get it open without breaking it.
 
Tighten the packing nut around the shaft, or remove it & the handle to replace the packing. You can also inspect the valve seat while it's open.

But there's nothing special or magical about that cheap original valve. You can replace it with anything that can tolerate the diesel, heat, & vibration. I'd look for a newer 1/4-turn ball valve with teflon seals - that'd never wear out, leak, or fail.
