well one of my friends did a 4 wheel boosted launch and broke the tie rods with sleeves on them and broke the axle on driver side.. we fixed all of that and now we noticed that his sway bar was bent.. we think it bent we the tie rods broke, his center link also bent. so he bought the upgraded on from ppe and the support kit. now when we put it all together.. we think that the frame bent.. is it possible that it can bend like that.. or is it just the sway bar making it seem bent..

Broke the Tie-Rod with the sleeve. What RPM was he leaving at to do that?

Hopefully someone can chime in on your other issues.

It takes some talent to do that and i dont mean good talent.

If you snap the tie rods then how did you bend the centerlink?? How did you snap the tie rods with sleeves? Did you snap the sleeve? or where did it snap on the tie-rod?? The sleeves and centerlink are both 1" thick and solid, like i said it takes a lot to snap those.

Now by axle do you mean drivers side output shaft or driveside Halfshaft. The output shaft goes into the diff and the halfshaft runs from the diff to the wheel.

Its VERY VERY rare to break a drivers side halfshaft without and E-locker. It will always be the pass side one. But if you have an E locker its most commonly the drivers side. And when it goes, they go as a pair both the half shaft and the output shaft. Then all of the torque transfers to the passenger side. But before the passenger side output shaft is the inner shaft, which becomes the week link and snaps. And when it snaps the carrier keeps spinning, unless you have a perefectly clean break (doubt it) its going to push the passenger side output shaft through its retaining rings and part way out of the housing. In the process it will most likely tweak the shift fork as well and ruin some seals.

The sway bar wouldnt have gotten bent from this launch. When the Half shafts and tie rods go they sometimes will bend the sway bar links.

And finally if your frame is bent, its bent from something stupid you did before. Or if this truck is making some serious ponies, has a lift and has sled pulled or been under extreme load in 4x4 which doesnt bend the frame but will tweak the mounting tabs for the front differential. If your front driveshaft shows no signs of rubbing the NSBU switch then odds are your diff brackets are bent.

Why do you think the frame is bent??

If you think its bent take it to a shop and have them check it out. We cant help you over the internet. I havent seen bent frames unless something stupid was done, it was wrecked or somebody redneck engineered a part onto their truck and it didnt work right.

and one last thing. Im willing to bet he put it in 4wd but it didnt engage. So when he launched it engaged sending a shockwave through everything and breaking it.

no i was saying i think his frame was bint because on his center link you can fit 2 fingure under one side and on the other you can fit like 4.. the tierods broke on the side of the sleeve it didnt brake the sleeve or anything but it broke rite at the sleeve. and when it broke it swung around and hit his sway bar witch in turns bent it.. the center link bent when the tierod broke also. i think that it pushed on the center link and bent it then the tierods broke.. the axle broke in the rubber sleeve on the outer side. he is going to carry his truck to a shop and have them check the frame.. cuz he went to have it aligned and they cant get it something is wrong.. he has all new parts on it so it has to be something serious. also what would make the front hope in 4 wheel launch and make the tires squill. they make a loud noise and then it starts hoping while makeing the noise its like his tires turn in toward each other when he launches..

could be possible id go get it checked at a frame alignment shop.

the tierods broke on the side of the sleeve it didnt brake the sleeve or anything but it broke rite at the sleeve. and when it broke it swung around and hit his sway bar witch in turns bent it..

makes sense kinda what i figured happened, whos sleeves was he running??

the center link bent when the tierod broke also. i think that it pushed on the center link and bent it then the tierods broke..

could be possible with the stock centerlink

the axle broke in the rubber sleeve on the outer side.

so im assuming by this you mean the cv shaft broke they usually break the piece that has the 6 bolt flange and runs into the rubber boot

also what would make the front hope in 4 wheel launch and make the tires squill. they make a loud noise and then it starts hoping while makeing the noise its like his tires turn in toward each other when he launches..

well im assuming he has a stock centerlink. this is what happens with a stock centerlink. as more torque is applied the wheels want to turn but the breaks hold them back so they push in on the tie rods, when they do this the force has to be absorbed so the centerlink rotates, with a factory centerlink it is bent down on both ends so when it rotates it pulls the tires in and thus you get what you are experiencing
