I'm facing the facts that I need a new front end b/c : 1- I have 317Kmi on the tahoe and 2- The alignment shop would not do the alignment 30Kmi ago , also vibration has got excessively worse( i cruise @80mph often).

Just figure I'd heed Turbine Doc warning and change the bearing assembly too. Any ratings on Timenken vs National vs AC Delco??? Thanks, cause oe is double the price, but saftey is 1st priority.

I compleatly rebuilt the front suspension on my 95 k2500 LD after having a tie rod fall out of the adjusting sleeve. I ordered a kit from a susp. place in arizona. They couldn't seem to send the right lower ball joints[3 times]. Low quality parts except for the energy suspension bushings. You might try PST [performance suspension technology] in new jersey. They might have better quality parts. Napa's premium parts are good also but they don't offer a kit, everything is individual. In recomend the energy suspension bushings if you are going all the way.I didn't replace the wheel hubs[275,000 miles]

Timken has always been good bearing, I put NAPA brand in mine, or should I say the shop put in NAPA parts, rest of stuff I did myself went with MOOG over the lifetime warranty stuff at ORiley's (made in India), was about $20 more each piece to go with MOOG, but MOOG has been name brand for long time, as far as GM part, I'll surmise the part is made overseas but put in a box with a printed in USA label on it, sign of times, even MOOG probably made overseas truth be known

Napa ball joints said "made in usa". They also have urethane boots.

Moog parts are Made in St Catharines Ontario Canada. They are a great Part. They are half the price if a Drive across the The USA and purchase them though for some reason.

I would go with the GM or Moog parts, not sure on the price difference but they are both probably going to be more than NAPA stuff, but they are both going to be good quality.

Go with factory GM or moog, I personely feel the GM ones are better. If going with moog, get the p/n's you need and order them from summit, they usually run me 50-75% of what they would cost me local for the same part.

I agree, polyurethane bushings if doing them also.

My understanding is that you can't hardly buy a made in USA bearing anymore. Most of the Timken stuff that is still USA is NOS. Heaven help us if we get in a major conflict.

TAHOE-Lower Ball Joint

Is the lower ball joint, on a tahoe, a press in type?

On my 2500Ld it has the forged lower a arms. Some had stamped. Different part numbers. Both were press in.
