Hey guys you might be interested in this free software if you have a laptop and can build or rig your own cables....anyways here's the link to the page.....lots of reading to get there if not just scroll down to Scanning and Tunning software......at the bottom of the list is another link 6.5 turbo click it for the free download page of GMTD scan basic for FREE .......the very first page has all sorts of softwares and info worth reading ...ENJOY EH(http://www.aldlcable.com/

I personaly don;t need your software as my old snap-on MT 2500 does everything....thanks for the offer ...but I was trying to help out the regular Joe that doesn't have the bucks for outdated software.....since it's only good for 94-95 diesels....not many still kicking

I to try to help everyday, thats my driving force. Not sure what you reffer to with "outdated software" First its not my software, its Stefan Engh's. I give him full credit. I just help him market it in the states. 2nd is there another software out there that is more updated? or has better customer service for that matter? and you would be very supprized how many 94-95's are still out there.

Do a search on these forums and you'll find plenty of info on Stefan Engh's software, including the free version. Your post here comes across as advice from a software pirate so others can scam it. I bought the full version for my son when he had a '95 and now he has a '94. It works quite well and pays for itself with just two uses.

The free version is downloadable from the origin site-it lets you get a feel for it's capabilities before you purchase the software license and install the full version-no pirating involved.

For those who have a 94/95 it's the best available outside a tech 1 or tech II with OBD1 expansion module.

The pro version is also the only publicly available version with 2 way communication to initiate the TDCO relearn when setting IP timing.

wiggle the snap on mt2500 is limited as well on OBD1 and OBDII-it won't command the TDCO relearn but does display the current learned value, for accurate readings I have found that if you enter the vehicle year as 2000 no matter the real build date that the TDCO value is accurate to 1 decimal place.
KOKO relearn is an option for OBDII and the mt2500 is good enough to display the info.

Not to digresss but there are a lot more 94-95 and even 93 that are still alive with 6.5L TD.

Actually, probably relatively more than from 96+.
FYI, the 96-97 truck 6.5L TD with OBD-I have relatively less data availability than the 94-95 with OBD-I.
Some early 96 cannot even be hooked up to a reader correctly sometimes.

Well I'm not a scammer or a pirate....I know this is free from the author....so thinking it may help someone who was having trouble with thier ride is why I posted it,I have spent mega bucks on softwares to fix vehicles thats for sure....so something free for an older truck is nice for someone who doesn't have the bucks to throw away...guess thats why I keep my Old snap-on brick MT 2500 for the older beauts still kicking
