Ran across these on the 'bay today. For both the GMT800 and GMT900 pickups.

They are definatley different (similar to the Superdutys), but I'm not sure I'd like them. I think they would be better with a more flush light, IDK.

GMT900 (listing says 03-06, but the bases are GMT900)

I like not having the turn signal in the glass. I find that rather annoying myself.

I wonder if they have the slight up-angle that the other aftermarket mirrors of that style do for the GMT800's. I'd definitely get them if the didn't do that and were actually level with the rest of the world.

I bet they are the same as the rest of the mirrors, judging by the fact that they are designed from the OEM ones.

Those are nice! I've been trying to find a set like that having the lights on them. It really adds to the look at night on the truck. Those would go well with my new marker lights :D

I like'm too, especially the amber marker lights. I've always wanted those.

I am still on the fence, my thoughts:

I like the amber markers. I miss the blinker arrow in the glass. I wish the lights were flush mount. I like that it doesn't scream F*rd. I want to see them on a truck. I want to know if they're leveled. I hope they're still electrochromatic.

You could easily get the red signals in the glass, just swap glass out from a different set with them. It's almost a redundant thing, however I feel the red gets more attention. At the same time, the amber light is much more visable, say, to a car next to you. I also like the idea of it being a marker light.

I still doubt that they are leveled, the arms/bases i'm sure are based of the OEM stuff just like all the other re-pop mirrors.

Devin and I were just having a little dialouge, and I'm fairly certian that the towing mirrors aren't electrochromatic (infact I think the only options are power, heated and signal). Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that option only in the standard style mirror (the RPO option for the full function mirrors is DL3 in tahoes/denali/esky etc). If they were electrochromatic, they would dim anytime the center rearview mirror did (as that is how they are wired).

Edit: It just came to me. My friend Sam just bought an 03 Silverado ECLB 2500HD and it has the standard style DL3 mirrors (so power, heated, signal, power fold, puddle lamp and electrochromatic) and we were talking about me buying her a set of towing mirrors (since that style is WAY too small for her truck) in trade for hers.

I'll see if she likes this style, maybe go that route for her.

They need to be flush mounted markers. If Devin had those, he would have already broken the marker... he tapped his mirror on a parking service ticket booth.

They are not markers only turn. The set I got was indexed wrong and the mirrors locked in place too far out. They are just as crooked as the rest. Mine shook so bad they were useless even after trying weather stripping on the edges, then the motor could not adjust them. I sent them back, they seemed cheap.

They would easily be made into markers as well, that is just wiring.

Hum, I know Brandon's (07HDclassic) mirrors are aftermarket replacements, and they are identical to the OEM mirrors and don't shake any more than normal.

All I know is I hate the mirrors on my truck. The tow ones with the power in/out. The glass vibrates pretty bad. Got them replaced under warranty and the new ones were just as bad as the old ones.

Almost every GMT800 mirror I have seen vibrates, no matter what the style. The standard style mirrors vibrate the least, but they still vibrate. My stock pass manual mirror was horrible, untill I replaced them with power mirrors.

I really enjoy the fact that I can tighten the post on my mirrors on the 88, they hardly vibrate at all.
