For the 6.2L/6.5L guys with 81-91 Style trucks.

I've got an '83 GMC High Sierra K2500 with the single (per side) sealed beam headlights. I know there is a Silverstar replacement, but is the stock wiring harness and switch up to the task? I don't know the wattage differences, the bulb in question is the H6054 series.

EDIT: In hindsight I realize there are a few gas truck owners (like myself), but it was all of the 6.2L guys that made me think to ask.

I had the bulb version in mine with no real problem. the only problem I had was the connector wiring was on it's way out.the wattages are abut the same as stock, just a different bulb design

K, cool. That's what I needed to know. I wasn't sure on the power consumption.
