Hey everyone, I have been creeping thru most of the 6.5TD forums. Finally decided to join this one. Lots of good gouge.

I have a 1998 2DR, 4WD. SSD tune, CAI, 4" exhaust. I am converting it from base model to LT. So far the doors, carpet and front seats are in. Would like to stop the black smoke under accel.

I have gotten 23MPG on skinny stock tires cruising around 70MPH. Added Lucas at every fill up.

I have never kept a vehicle longer than a year, and this is one that I just might keep.:dr:

Do you have a boost gauge? Need one to diagnose your black smoke.

Welcome, fill out your signature with your specifics so we all know what you have everytime you post. As for your smoke, if you have Walt's 80HP tune, chances are teh only way to clear up your black smoke is to let up on the pedal some.
 
Thanks all. I have SS Diesel tune. Hoping to install the EGT and Boost guage soon. Gonna search and find out how to post pics.
