Finally got a new truck. Not diesel though.

Add RV Towing mirror like leroy sells, can't tell but you might have room for the HD hood off of a 2500hd (regular 1500's had a different hood until 06 i think), EFI LIVE tuning, and 3" exhaust. That would make a nice running truck with all the little things.

Great looking truck though! Looks well maintained. 6.0L's are reliable and you know the 4L80 can do the job.

Does the EFI Live improved fuel economy or just power? I didn't see mirrors on Leroy's site but it has those weird power telescoping 'accordion' mirrors.

Leroy can get them, I asked when we did the ones on my cousins 05 Dmax. There are some good deals on Ebay and amazon which are cheaper.

The EFI Live CAN improve MPG, the improvememnt on shift points and firmness make them a whole new truck. If you dont drive like an idiot you might get 13mpg on a good day, thats just how the 6.0 is. 3" highflow exhaust and CAI can help.

Unless you have 4.10 gears I wouldnt go over a 265/75R16 but you should be able to fit a 285/75R16 w/o much adjustment. The 6.0 will bog down with 285's and 3.73's.

I like the accordian mirrors myself, but word of warning GM only offered them for 3 1/2 years and no longer makes them. So if they quit your getting new ones anyways. 265/75/16 is a good fit, but with a torsion bar adjustment the 285's should fit. Personally I would leave it alone for the engine. The 6.)L will run dang near forever if you keep the oil changed, so why mess with it. MPG improvements will be minimal as they already run right at stoich during most situations, so all you can really do is add in 2 degrees of timing and enable lean cruise mode.

Please elaborate on your last sentence Ferm. How do I enable lean cruise? And, if I do, will it hurt anything longterm?

It's done in the tuning via EFILIVE, HPTUNERS, and I think LS EDIT can also do it. Basically the ECM has a segment in it where you can set it so after the engine is running at a steady load, RPM, and throttle setting it will change the air fuel ratio from 14.7:1 up to around 15.8-16:1(the upper end of what the O2 can read). Under low load situations it doesn't seem to hurt the engine any at all, but it does tend to make them run a bit hotter and they can ping easier due to the leaner fuel mixture.

Yes they will have turn sig in glass. Pass side mirrors are all magnified. The ones you have suck Imo though.

I have driven a lot of trucks. Towed a lot. None have sucked like this one. It is very magnified. I have to do something. I am hoping the ones Leroy has are more like the ones on the 2002 F-250 I tow with at work which are awesome. They look similar.

I bought mine from LEROY, and they are just as magnified as what you have now. I've towed with both, and I actually like the accordion ones you have myself. They are RARE and hard to come by now, so they are worth some money if you take them off.

I forgot to get a price, sorry.

I ordered the accordion style on my 03 Dmax, never liked them they would stick and not move out.

oh, mine move just fine. no sticking. just cant see much more than the trailer fender/tires with the level of magnification. my old 02 dakota's standard mirrors were better for backing that these! try backing the truck alone into a parking spot, forget it. :WTF:
