may help some of you in figuring tow rating, just wanted to say I had my truck weighed 3 weeks ago at 7240 lbs. 2006 2500 lbz. I was carrying a 14k superglide hitch, 40lbs misc items. so I would say my truck without hitch and items weighs 7200 lbs. owner said scales were accurate also.

That sounds about right. Mine weighs in at 7208.

Before I put the ranch hand grill guard on mine weighed in at 7,340 LBS. Of course I have the camper cover on it with probably about 300 pounds of tools and junk in the bed.
