factory nav issues

Well today I was driving down the road and the nav screen went out (there was sound):mad2:I really couldnt do anything about it at that second , but when I turned the truck off before opening the door the screen came back on . Then of course when ya open the door its goes blank . Ok then I turned the truck back on and still there was no screen :confused::mad2: and I dont know what the issue is if anyone has some insite with this problem Im havin can ya let me know ?

Mine has gone crazy 1 time since I've owned it. It wouldnt track anything and was going in circles. Once I shut off the truck and restarted it, it was fine and hasn't done it since.

You may have a bad nav or something. They can and do go bad from time to time. The first one I bought fried itself 10 seconds after we installed it and fired it up.
 
ya I tired alot of things and it hasnt worked but it very weird not sure whats goin on I am an car stereo installer and use to own a shop about 4 years ago but i guess ill try mlooking into it tomarrow more
 
well i took it all apart yesterday afternoon somehow the pac avi/ gm2 wasnt gounding right at the plug so I GUESS or hope i fixed it . I guess ill wait and see tooday on the long drive ill be on .
 
i was going to suggest looking at the connectors for the pac. it will blank out the screen if not connected. that much i do know:D
 
ya these damn aftermarket units they all suck lol . they make the so damn fast and put them on the market and dont R.A.D them first before they sell them
 
well the end result was it happened to me today again , so I called Pac and there sending me a new piece after talking to the person in charge . They told me it was a bad switching unit .
