Any of you fella's have any issues with Flowmaster Exhaust rotting out? The damn junk on mine broke right off at the muffler . Then trying to maul the tail pipe off the truck next to the road was a nightmare :mad5:. Luckily i had my enclosed trailer in tow and i ended up cutting it in half with a sawzall to get it out. I called Flowmaster who said i had to call Jegs for warranty. Luckily it is still covered but i had to buy the new exhaust and i will be re-imbursed after they get the old one back and inspect it. I guess i cant complain too much but for almost $600 you would expect better quality.

I dont think quality has anything to do with the amount of salt thats on the roads up there from Oct - May. For what its worth, I had to replace my entire exhaust system due to rust once I moved.

Oh stop now, according to the big wigs of the State the salt doesnt hurt anything :crackhead: Well at least they are going to replace it for me.

Buddy has a flowmaster on his 460 F350 and it rotted off right at the back of the muffler. I think he was able to weld it up, but it wasnt more then a year old

Well, the new exhaust is on and this time no muffler. I like the sound of it more without the muffler than with it on. Now i dont have to worry about the muffler rotting out either.

I hope you know someone to get it inspected. How does it sound?

Happy birthday by the way...!

Thanks Nick. I know alot of guys around here who will inspect it but if memory serves me you dont need the muffler for inspection. You just need the emmisions devices in place and working. The muffler doesnt fall under the emmisions that i know of. The truck itself sounds alot better, its a little louder but alot throatier. At idle and around town it is fairly quiet but has a nice rumble when you walk on it. I put the tuner back on it for now at 120hp and it sounds great when you get the RPM around 2200-2600. The girlfriend enjoys riding in it with the tuner too, she grabs on the oh crap handles and begins giggling with a big smile.
