Hi, anybody knows the part number for the Electronic Variable Orifice (EVO) Component which bolts to the 97-on power steering pump reservoir?

I'm desesperately looking for this to order that assy. I have a new power steering pump, but no EVO assy to bolt on it.

Thank you in advance for your help ;)

I just looked on NAPA and such with no luck. I'm going to chevy dealership in next 2 days. If nobody answers I'll hit the parts counter for the #. I had to reuse my old one on my swap.

Matuva, if you want me to get that assembly at the stealership tomorrow, let me know. I'll figure out how to ship it. GM parts are usually scary expensive and buying the pump with EVO actuator on rockauto might be cheaper option. Somebody on here must have a pump with this part on it though.

Thanks for proposal. As you say, better check OEM price before. And If someone on here have the part for sale, just let me know ;)

I'll hit the parts counter tomorrow morning and see what they say, and let you know. How is the truck running and any luck finding mystery noise?

Thanks ;) Please enquire for the full setup, in the red circle of post #1

How is the truck running and any luck finding mystery noise?

Blazer runs fine, really healthy engine, pushes strong, smoke free
as for the mistery noise, that's probably a lifter:
tick/knock when cold, at startup and clear once oil pressure established;
tick/knock again once engine is hot, then clears again after several minutes, sometimes back again.
If I stop and restart in less 2 hours, smooth and clear, purr as a kitten, then sometimes tick/knocks again, sometimes not.... weird...

The engine was stored almost dry several months, may be a lifter is sticking... aftrer some more miles, may be it will cure? If not, we will have to take time to pull the head and check the lifters... finding the culprit might be another story...
