99 suburban, when I hit the pedel in reverse and only in reverse engine drops to 500 or less and smokes black. This has been happing for over a year some what intermittant but more often then not. Has never threwn a code, didn't find anything with the scan-tool pmd replaced twice. any ideas?

Heath told me it can be a sign of a weak IP. Don't know if that is the case. Mine does it sometimes when it is hot, but I have a new IP, so my conclusion, for my issue anyway, is ECM issue how ever minor.

new ip in 07 not many miles since. Ive been thinking its just a pcm hick-up
