Engine Noise Suppressor

Can't be what you usually call "engine noise" because that is ignition. Could be alternator noise ( my best guess). You hear it on am & fm, or??? Make sure all your grounds are clean and tight.

Trap where's your sig?....What year truck?

The only one I know of is the little harness with the little black box between the IP harness and the optic sensor.......it runs under the intake and is about 6" long.

Many of us had taken them out due to fishbite, etc. But it is also said 96 and up don't need it but 95 and down might be worth changing.

And if you need a filter harness, I just happen to have a new one I'm trying to sell:Chr3:Chr3:Chr3

Still figuring out the sig thing .... its a '94 1 ton... the noise is coming thru the front drivers speaker - radio on or off- constant humm that goes up & down with accelerator. Started after i replaced the water pump and rad and some turbo monkeying ... (pics of ol plowie here http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/showthread.php?29307-new-member/page2). I'm more of a 78-79 ford guy , so not up to speed on the fishbite? thing.

The noise is "dirty" electricity. Adding a ground from the housings may help, or securing/cleaning grounds can generally get rid of the "interference" that poor grounds cause.
