Engine Mount Question...

In Arizona, buying another diesel Suburban
My '95 6.5 needs a new drivers side mount, the engine bangs into the fan shroud under acceleration. Since no one has one in stock, I was wondering if I could grind the rivets off a '84 mount and use the inside rubber part. The bracket looks different, but is the inside the same?

I bought a made in China one, and the shell shell was very thin, so I re used the thicker OE part, but they were both same year, 1984. The '95 bolts up differently, but same rubber insert???

As far as I know, the rubber inserts are different. You could use the rubber from the made in china one in your old shell, or go with the polyurethane inserts in them.

So I went to the FLAP last nite, and this's what I found... Ooops, I'm using a diff computer, so no video now. If I can figure out why my laptop won't allow me to type text, I'd post from my own machine...

For those who can't play videos, the rubber is the same. And for the small diff in shell config, the price is triple for the newer '95 mount. All made in China, and much thinner shell at the another FLAP around the corner
