Does anybody know of an electric fan clutch for 6.5s? (or and other GM for that matter) i think that they would be good for fuel economy and noise.

Any feedback appreciated, thank you!

Not currently available for 6.5, best so far for us is a retuned mechanical clutch, with the 9 blade plastic fan, I ran a Kennedy clutch for years with steel fan, IMO it kicked in too early, I could watch 25 calculated Hp loss whern it kicked in on my scanner, I'm running a Heath fan clutch with plastic fan now, kicks in earlier than OEM, and later than a Kennedy, I have ample cooling on it, only pulls about 15 (calculated by scanner) Hp when it kicks in, I don't have data with plastic fan on a Kennedy clutch to see if that brings kick in Hp down with a lighter fan, but Kennedy clutch also oncekicked in tends to stay kicked in pulling load, heath seems to be more cycling than the Kennedy clutch allows for.

Yeah, there are a couple alternatives... there's the 20" metal one that Kennedy sells, the 21" DMax plastic fan, and there was a 20" 9-blade in the late 1999 and 2000 6.5TD 3500s as a stock item, if I recall correctly.

It seems to me that the stock 9-blade GM fan was a good price, too... not to mention you could probably find one at a wreckers (ahem.. environmentally-friendly automotive recycling centre)
