My egt gauge seems to be hanging up. It raises normally but then doesn't come back down. Can I spray wd40 inside it? Is there an adjustment for how tight they are. The one thing I did notice is if you tap on the face of it the needle will drop back to normal temps. But other than that. I don't want to ruin this gauge while trying to fix it.

No wd40, or oil products. The oil will collect dust and jam it up worse. I would start with low air pressure to blow it out. Either regulated air compressor, or the "can of air" for computer keyboards. That gauge works on millivolts, so nothing that conducts electricity. Have you called the mfr tech support? If its a known problem, they will have the best fix.

No I haven't called. It is a banks dynafact gauge. I know they do have great customer support. I will give them a call
